#DAY2
NATIONAL MUSEUM OF INDONESIA
The second day of my
free time was so sunny. Fortunately, the air conditioning in the museum was
working well so that I had no prob. The building was big enough, and it has a
big yard outside. I amazed, the National Museum was different with other
museums I've ever visited. Well organized, clean area, good display with
beautiful garden. It was excellent for a museum with the entrance fee only Rp
5000. Definitely worth to visit.
This museum is also known as Elephant Museum, because of elephant sculpture made of bronze medal that given by King Chulalongkorn of Thailand in 1871, which is now on the front lawn of the building. National Museum has more than 140,000 collections consist of prehistoric, archeological, foreign ceramic, numismatic/heraldic, colonial, ethnographical and geographic.

NATIONAL ARCHIVES MUSEUM
National Archives
Museum was originally the house of the former Governor-General of VOC; Reiner
de Klerk, in the 18th century.
Thing that caught my attention when I came here was the building's
architecture. This main red brick bulding has two floors with a high roof,
carved door and vintage windows. It also has a large garden at the front and
rear of the main house. Beautiful design of colonial building.
